Mullinhassig Wood & Waterfalls, Aghavrin.

Here are some pictures that I took a few weeks ago when I went for a walk in the Mullinhassig Woods. It’s a really small wood but Poulanhassig Waterfall is like a jewel in the heart of it.A mermaid in the form of a salmon is said to reside in the waterfall pool, who, if approached quickly in late evening, can be seen combing her hair on a stone  to the left of the waterfall. If a stranger is sensed, she dives to the bottom of the pool. Near the brink of the waterfall is a boulder, said to be the mermaid’s ‘table’. Another version has the mermaid enticing unwary anglers to the bottom of the pool, where they spend the rest of their existence releasing fish from the hooks of fellow anglers. As you may have guessed I didn’t get enticed to live out the rest of my days in the rock pool.

Creature of the night, creeping around in the dark with my camera.

Check out some of the pictures that I took back in January. The first lot of pictures were taken on a cold night when there was no clouds so it was great to be able to see the stars.

The next bunch of picture were in the Lee Fields, just outside Cork City. Similarly to the first bunch of pictures these were taken on a cold night in January.

I really hope you get as much enjoyment out of looking at these pictures as I got out of taking them, well anyways that is enough rambling out of me so let me know what you think in the comments.

Coimbra, the city of Hills.

These are some of the picture of Coimbra that I have taken in the last few weeks. Its a really cool city but incredibly hilly which doesn’t agree with my feeble legs. But apart from the hills it has a really nice Botanical Garden, one of the Oldest Universities in the land and some nice parks and views so all in all its not a bad place to live.

I really hope you enjoyed these picture, I was really happy with how they turned out but they are by no means perfect and my quest to take a perfect picture goes on. That is enough from me for now let me know what you think in the comments and feel free to share them with your pets or whom ever you think might enjoy them.

Peace and Love,
